The Gift

Easter comes around

For everyone I guess,

Some for chocolate candy

An’ some for an Easter dress,

Some will make special gifts

For each and every child,

Some will color lots of eggs

An’ go that extra mile,

When children hunt the Easter eggs

It always brings a smile,

The hider bears a childish grin

As they are mov’n to-and- fro,

Plant’n treasures where they please

Everywhere they go,

Some are hidden in the trees

Some upon the ground,

Some are high an’ some are low

But all are hopefully found,

All those vibrant colors

Hidden in the grass,

Some are hid’n places

With a little bit of cash,

Some will go to grandma’s house

For that splendid yearly meal,

She puts LOVE in everyth’n

That’s just part of the deal,

Some of the treasures are ther’ in plain sight

But all are free to take,

LOVE is all around us

I hope that you partake,

Some will go to the church house

To renew their religious obligations,

Once a year don’t seem

Like much dedication,

But Jesus gave us everyth’n

Without a hesitation,

HE hung ther’ upon the cross

For y’ur eternal salvation,

Easter is for families

To find a common ground,

I hope that you will find it

An’ never be without,

“The Gift” that Jesus gave us

Ther’ on Calvary,

Hide ther’ in your heart“The Gift”, an’ live eternally…
