HE is Wait’n on You

I’m headed out to start out my day

I watched the sunrise,

An’ I have to say

It’s a beautiful morn’n

Such a pretty sight,

Is snak’n through the trees

As it came light,

An’ another thing

I want to make clear,

Round bales of hay

Are everywhere,

Look’n out my front porch

Has been brought straight to you,

From this old cowboy

Cause I wanted too,

The weatherman said

it was 5:19,

When you could catch a glimpse

Of her first gleam,

The trees on the horizon

Have delayed it some

Nevertheless, I waited indeed,

It was a good time for prayer

For those in need,

Well the Father an I

We waited together,

An’ my front porch

Seems like a great place to gather,

HE waits on me

 An’ I’m wait’n on the weather,

Not for it to change

It couldn’t be any better,

When I look all around

At what I see,

I’m wait’n on the sunrise

Or I’m wait’n on the rain

I’m wait’n for a cool breeze,

Or any number of things,

Jesus is wait’n

For you and for me,

An’ I think that Jesus

Died just for me,

It was ther’ on the cross

On a hill far away,

The sun did not shine

In the middle of the day,

So I wrote down these words

An’ I share them with you,

 Just talk to Jesus

“HE is Wait’n on You.”
